Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

1. What we collect

When you use Postscriptum, we collect:

  • Journal entries you write, including questions and answers
  • Mood ratings you optionally provide
  • Your email address and billing information, processed by Stripe, if you subscribe to Premium
  • Basic usage data (pages visited, errors) to keep the service running

2. How we use your data

Your data is used solely to provide the Postscriptum service:

  • To display your journal entries and archive
  • To generate your memoir — entries are sent to Google’s Gemini API for AI processing. Google’s privacy policy governs that processing.
  • To manage your subscription through Stripe
  • To calculate your streak and mood trends

3. What we do not do

  • We do not sell your data to third parties
  • We do not use your journal entries for advertising
  • We do not share your personal information with anyone except as described in this policy

4. Data storage

Your data is stored securely on servers hosted by Vercel. We take reasonable precautions to protect your information, but no internet service is 100% secure. We recommend not storing information in your journal that you would be devastated to lose in the unlikely event of a breach.

5. Third-party services

  • Stripe — payment processing. Your card details are never stored by Postscriptum.
  • Google Gemini — AI memoir generation. Your entries are sent to Google for processing when you generate a memoir.
  • Vercel — hosting and infrastructure.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of all data we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Cancel your Premium subscription at any time

To exercise these rights, email us at hello@postscriptum.co

7. Cookies

We use minimal session cookies necessary for the service to function. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
